Workshop Overview
For Womxn's History Month, lets center the intersections of black women artists and activism. There will be an overview of the career of artist, Simone Leigh. We will analyze 3 aspects of her art that highlight her artistic practice. Lastly, we will look how her work aligns with social movements and/or historical moments.
Goal
Provide a comprehensive overview of Simone Leigh's multifaceted art and activism, highlighting her dedication to creating art that nurtures, empowers, and advocates for Black women.
